CREM Music School: Changes lives through Music

The Ajijic music school CREM offers musical education, fosters culture and contributes to forming sensitive, proactive and solidary youth for a better society. It was founded in 1990 By maestro Victor Manuel Medeles, an Ajijic local and a composer known and admired in the state of Jalisco and beyond. CREM has been operating from the Auditorio at Lakeside.

Various first generation students are now part of the Jalisco Philharmonic or are professional musicians elsewhere. Most students are children or teenagers. When Victor Manuel Medeles passed in 2009, his son Emmanuel Medeles took his place as director of CREM continuing his father´s legacy.

CREM´s activities are directed at children and teenagers of Chapala Lakeside from all socio-economic levels and backgrounds. It is our mission that music education be accessible to anyone with an interest in music regardless of their family or economic situation.
