Discover the Wonders Near Ajijic

Ajijic has centuries of history and a lot of it is still around us today. Eduardo Ramos and Jambo Corona transmit a live broadcast on Ajijic history every week called “Tradiciones Ajijic.” Their knowledge of Ajijic’s past is the product of generations of stories past down, and they can point to many things that still surround us today and connect us to that past. We will take a little tour of people, places and things of the past that still exist foday that have shaped Ajijic., from its traditions, buildings, and people.

Eduardo “Lalo” Ramos is the cronista (story keeper) of Ajijic and has revived many lost traditions in Ajijic. He is also director of Ajijic’s Easter Passion Play. Jambo Corona has broadcast his shows to Ajijic for many years. He is one of the master’s of ceremonies of the Easter Passion Play and is the voice you hear making announcements at many community events. He is also the owner of Tepetate Thai Restaurant in Ajijic. Phil Rylett has lived in Ajijic for 11 years and is the other master of ceremonies for the Easter Passion Play and is fortunate to count Lalo and Jambo as good friends. Phil will make the initial presentation and Lalo and Jambo will be present to answer any questions you have about Ajijic and its past.
