More US citizens die of non-natural causes in Mexico than in any other foreign country. The US State Department publishes annually the when, where, and “how” behind how Americans “bought the farm” when overseas. An analysis of this data is relevant to our everyday overseas living and reveals activities (driving, swimming) and tragic events (homicide and suicide), along with some glaring media coverage omissions.
