January 12 2025 Searching for Neill James, a moderated panel discussion from those who knew her best

The legacy of one woman drapes the Lake Chapala Society campus, in some ways as a shroud that softens and blurs how we interpret and celebrate the remarkable life of Ms. Neill James. As her 130 th birth year is celebrated throughout 2025, this moderated panel talk will illuminate Ms. James’ Ajijic life using testimonials from her expat and Mexican neighbors, fond memories from legacy artists who were taken under her wing decades ago, and Ms. James’s own writing.

This day of remembrance will include music and dance performances, food, children’s art exhibits and a birthday cake celebration.
