The Nomadic Intern, Creating My Own Adventure
After being hit by a car not long after retiring, I had an epiphany: I had embarked on my own spiritual journey following my first trip to India in 1990. The years that followed, I traveled to 155 countries, sometimes as a tourist, sometimes on business, sometimes for my charity…meeting remarkable souls who became global friends. And the moment finally came when I decided to sell everything, pack up my life and travel the world – not as a tourist – but as a student of cultures and communities and people, spending large chunks of time in each place I visited. In essence, I became a nomadic intern, learning about humanity.
I documented what I learned from people I interviewed from around the world and from all walks of life. And so was born my new book, In Search of Spiritual Intelligence.
